In our never-ending quest for quality, hand-made products, we came across Faribault Mill, one of the last vertical woolen mills in the country, meaning that they control every step of the manufacturing process from raw wool to the final product.  The company was founded in 1865, just 10 years after our college’s founding.   We partnered with them because they value craftsmanship and the people behind the products, just like we do.  We are proud to be a retailer of their fine products. 

This wool shawl is 36" long from neck to base, 50" wide, and is made from 100% Merino Virgin Wool. For it to last for generations, dry cleaning is recommended. You can also hand wash with a mild cleaning agent designed for wool. Hand wash doesn't mean the gentle or Hand Wash Cycle in the machine as the agitation can cause fibers to interlock. Line dry, taking care to rotate the Wool to prevent stretching. Iron only on low, only if necessary. Do not bleach. If these instructions aren't followed, significant shrinkage and a change in texture could occur.
