The first coral reefs formed on Earth 240 million years ago. That was before the dinosaurs were alive!
This pretty scene was made using vitreous enamel (pulverized glass) that was applied by hand, using a delicate sprinkling method layered over solid copper and then kiln-fired. It has a metal circular hook for hanging.
