Designed as a group project with students and staff from Woodcraft and Broomcraft, this cherry dustpan and brush dyed with natural matter exemplifies the beauty of a simple, clean and purposeful design.
This Dustpan and Broom combination is the result of a joint design exploration with our Woodcraft and Broomcraft students. The whisk is hand-built with a mix of Osage Orange and Walnut Broomcorn with all the dye materials gathered in the Berea College forest. The dustpan is steam-bent and hand-shaped, allowing the whisk to nest perfectly inside the pan for display or storage.
